What we do
Most payment problems in cannabis are not really vendor problems. They are structural. There is no merchant category code for cannabis, so card-based processing at a dispensary is coded as something the business is not, and the mismatch gets enforced eventually. Operators cycle through vendors solving the same unsolvable problem.
Our job is to shorten that cycle. We know which platforms are built on which rails, which underwriting profiles they take, and what actually happens after a merchant is boarded. When an operator comes to us, they get pointed at the platform that fits, not the one that is easiest to sell.
For licensed cannabis businesses that usually means Greencard Payments, a bank-to-bank ACH platform that moves money on federally regulated banking rails, outside the card networks entirely. For standard-risk merchants, we route to the platform appropriate to that profile. Same starting point, different destination.
What we do not do
We are deliberately narrow, and it is worth being direct about the boundary.
- We do not process your payments. The platform does. Your money never touches us.
- We do not handle onboarding or implementation. That runs through the platform’s own team, directly with you.
- We do not provide ongoing merchant support. Once you are boarded, your support relationship is with the platform. That is faster for you than routing questions through a middle layer.
- We do not take a cut of your transactions. Our compensation comes from the platform side.
The whole engagement is the front of the funnel: understand the operation, identify the right platform, and get you into a working demo with the team who runs it.
Who we work with
- Licensed dispensaries tired of the shutdown cycle at the counter.
- Cultivators and distributors running wholesale invoicing on checks, wires, and cash drops.
- Delivery operations that want the order paid before the driver leaves.
- Multi-channel operators who need retail and wholesale on one platform instead of two vendors and two reconciliations.
- Standard-risk merchants in adjacent categories, routed to the appropriate processor.
How the process runs
- You book 30 minutes. Directly onto the Greencard Payments calendar, through the link on this site.
- Working session, not a pitch. Your volume, your channels, your current setup on screen. Checkout runs live. Pricing takes about five minutes of it.
- If it fits, they take it from there. Underwriting, account setup, integration, and rollout are handled by their team directly with you.
- If it does not fit, the call ends there. No follow-up sequence, no drip, no list.
A note on how we talk about compliance
We describe Greencard Payments as running on federally regulated banking rails, because that is what ACH is. We do not claim that any payment method makes a cannabis business federally compliant, and we do not guarantee outcomes with any bank or regulator. Anyone who does is selling you something you should read twice.
Nothing on this site is legal, tax, or banking advice. Talk to your own counsel about how any of this applies to your license and your state.
